During a rewatch of the pilot, I wondered how the conversation where Castle gets Beckett's cell phone number might have went down.  That thought turned into this little "missing scene" ficlet.

So Beckett can't swim. And she realizes that she knew Castle when she was 4 years old, but she didn't realize it. A traumatic experience in a pool starts a whole series of awkward events. yay.

Ryan and Esposito knew that their was an explanation.  There had to be.  They'd just have to do some off the record detective work to figure it out.

A department store Santa is found murdered in a small boutique. Meanwhile, Castle does his best to put Beckett in the mood of the holiday season.

A little something I have so far of a fanfic I just started tonight. We all saw in "Den of Thieves" how Castle was feeling just by the look on his face about Tom Demming being around. So I thought I'd write about how Castle feels about Demming being the new man in Beckett's life. A little bit of crime, flirting, banter, and jealousy makes a great episode of Castle, so I thought I'd make it a story. Feedback appreciated and thanks for reading! It was just another day for Richard Castle and Kate Beckett. Just another ordinary day, except today is

Based on an idea from the chat during 'The Limey'. What if Beckett and Castle were locked in a room together by their friends and family, and weren't allowed to come out until they talked honestly? Possible spoilers for 4x19 through 4x21.  Rated M for future potential.

This is my take on what happens when Alexis leaves herbaby egg project with Castle and then he leaves it at the precinct. What will Kate do when she realizes he has left it behind? Enjoy :)
